Questions, problems or ideas: send them our way.

In the app, open Settings and tap Send Feedback. For a problem, keep "Include anonymous diagnostic report" ticked: it tells us what the phone and the app were doing, which is usually how we find the cause.

An alarm did not ring

Alarms rely on your phone's settings. Check these first:

  • iPhone: Settings > Apps > Nurse Alarm. Alarms must be allowed, and Background App Refresh must be on. Notifications are only for the app's reminders; the alarm itself rings without them, in Silent mode and during a Focus.
  • Android: Settings > Apps > Nurse Alarm. Allow "Alarms & reminders" and Notifications, and set Battery to Unrestricted. Names and places differ a little by phone maker and Android version; if you cannot find one of these, search Settings for it. Alarms play at your alarm volume, not your ringer volume.
  • The app shows a banner at the top of the screen when one of these is off. Tapping it opens the right setting.
  • Force-quitting the app, a phone restart or an update can affect scheduled alarms. Open the app afterwards and check that your next alarm is shown.

Nurse Alarm is a personal alarm app. It is not a medical device and is not meant for patient care or emergencies.

What is free and what is Pro?

Your alarms are always free: creating, editing, grouping, and switching them on or off, with no limit, no ads, and no account. Nurse Alarm Pro lets you plan ahead by adding or skipping days on the Calendar: set up a whole month in a few taps. Pro is an optional subscription, monthly or yearly, with a free trial for new yearly subscribers.

Subscriptions: cancel, change, refund, restore

Your subscription is handled by Apple or Google, not by us.

To cancel or change your plan, go to Settings > your name > Subscriptions on iPhone, or to the Play Store > your profile > Payments & subscriptions on Android. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.

Refunds follow Apple's or Google's refund policy, so ask them rather than us: on iPhone at reportaproblem.apple.com, on Android through Google Play.

Paid for Pro, but the app shows the free version? On iPhone, make sure the phone is signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with, then tap Restore Purchases in the app's Settings or on the Pro screen. On Android, make sure the phone is signed in to Google Play with the Google account you bought it with, then open the app. Pro comes back on its own.
